Figma Case Study template

I have created this formula for my own portfolio, because I needed a structure that would help me highlight my impact even in smaller projects with smaller features or less 'action'. And I'm still using it, not only to create and update my real case studies but also to present design assignments.

This template helps you build clean, story-driven UX case studies directly in Figma. When used correctly, the structure will help you talk about your project and present it.

It’s fully editable, structured in flexible blocks you can duplicate, rearrange, and fill with your own content. It doesn't contain components but makes use of auto layout.

The width of this template is 1440px which makes it great for exporting to PDFs.
You can also prepare all of your case studies in one file and just send out one figma link without the need to 'host' your portfolio anywhere. That's what I do ;)

Whether you’re documenting a freelance project, preparing your portfolio, or creating visuals for a UX challenge, this layout helps you focus on your story in the project.

✳️ What’s inside:

  • Modular layout: mix and match sections to tell your story your way.
  • Auto Layout applied: everything stays tidy while you edit.
  • Editable text and image blocks: drag, duplicate, and customize freely.
  • Example case study included: see how to structure your own, based on my real project.
  • Built-in tips: each section includes short notes explaining how to use it effectively and build a compelling case study highlighting your impact.

Hope this structure will help you finally finish your portfolio.

Joanna
